About Meijo Park

Meijo Park is broadly divided into two areas: the North Garden and the South Garden. The North Garden area includes the lawn park, Flower Plaza, and the Dutch-style windmill. The South Garden area, on the other hand, contains Nagoya Castle and the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium. Generally, when referring to Meijo Park, it often means the North Garden, but in reality, Meijo Park includes both the North Garden and the South Garden, which contains Nagoya Castle.

Lawn Park

At almost the center of the North Garden is the lawn park. This spacious lawn, surrounded by trees, is a place where families enjoy their time, playing or relaxing on leisure sheets.

Dutch-style Windmill

Within the lawn park, there is a Dutch-style windmill. The reason why this seemingly antique windmill is installed in Meijo Park is not clear. In front of the windmill, there is a flower bed, where seasonal flowers like tulips bloom.
