Operating Hours

The operating hours for Yuami no Shima vary depending on the day of visit. On weekdays, it is open from 09:30 to 21:00, and on weekends and holidays, from 09:30 to 23:00. However, the closing time may be earlier than usual or extended late into the night on certain days.

Closing Days

Directions to Yuami no Shima

Since Yuami no Shima is located within Nagashima Spa Land, the admission tickets or Ganbanyoku set tickets for Yuami no Shima include the admission fee for Nagashima Spa Land. Nagashima Spa Land has a main gate near the parking lot and a west gate near the hotel and bus stop, and Yuami no Shima is located just inside the west gate (you can also get there by entering through the main gate).

Near the west gate, there are stairs leading to Yuami no Shima, so please go up. There is a signboard for Yuami no Shima in front of the stairs.

Once you reach the second floor, open the door and proceed through the connecting passage.

At the end of the connecting passage, you will find the entrance to Yuami no Shima. If you are entering after paying an admission fee to Nagashima Spa Land and wish to pay an additional fee to enter, there is a vending machine for purchasing admission tickets located at the entrance.

Once you pass through the gate by presenting your ticket, please place your shoes in the shoe locker and then proceed to the reception desk for check-in. The entry point is on the 3rd floor of Yuami no Shima. You will receive a locker key to store your clothes and other belongings. Lockers are located on the 1st floor. Meals and other services can be paid for using your locker key. Please keep it with you at all times as you will settle your bill upon exiting.

Steps to take a bath at Yuami no Shima

To bathe on Yuami no Shima, go to the 1F via stairs or elevator.

Enter the locker room. The entrances may switch, but the entrance for men is on the left, and the entrance for women is a bit further ahead, in front. Towels can be found inside the changing area, which is beyond the locker room.

If you plan to stay on Yuami no Shima for a while after bathing, you can borrow a yukata to wear. They are available for free at the locker room front desk, so please pick one up before entering the locker room. The locker room front desk is located to the right of the entrance to the locker room.

Since no photography is allowed beyond the locker room, there are no pictures. First, look at the number written on the locker key you received at the entrance reception, and search for your locker. Once you find your locker, you can put your belongings inside. Please note that you do not undress here.

Then, proceed from the locker room to the changing room. There are lockers in the changing room for your clothes, so undress here and move to the bath entrance, which is right beside it. Towels are available in the changing room.

Note that the procedure is slightly different during very busy periods, such as the summer holidays. Towels and other items are prepared at the first locker room, and you also undress in the locker room. Then, you go directly to the bath through a different entrance. During periods when the changing room is not used, there will be notices at the entrance to the locker room, so please follow those instructions.

How to use the Ganbanyoku

If you wish to use the hot Ganbanyoku, first register at the locker room front desk on the 1F. Here, you will receive a special indoor outfit for the Ganbanyoku and a mat towel. Please change into the Ganbanyoku indoor outfit inside the locker room. If you do not have a ticket for the Ganbanyoku, you can purchase one at the locker front desk.

Wearing the Ganbanyoku indoor outfit and carrying your mat towel, go to the 2F via stairs or elevator.

Enter the Ganbanyoku area and use the facilities. Note that you should remain clothed in the Ganbanyoku indoor outfit inside. There is no gender separation, so families can use the facilities together.

After using the Ganbanyoku, please return the indoor outfit and mat towel at the locker room front desk on the 1F. If you are wearing the Ganbanyoku indoor outfit, you may use the Ganbanyoku multiple times. If you plan to use the Ganbanyoku again after taking a bath or eating within the facility, do not return the indoor outfit. You can use the facilities inside the building while wearing the Ganbanyoku indoor outfit.

3F facility

Behind the entrance reception on the 3rd floor, there is a shop where you can buy souvenirs. Beyond the shop, there is also a game corner.

The 3rd floor features a lounging area with a nursing room and a diaper changing corner. (The photo shows a place with tables and chairs, but beyond this area, there are tatami mats laid out where you can lie down and relax.)

As you proceed to the back of the 3rd floor, there is a large hall where you can rest and have meals.

Inside the large hall, there are three types of restaurants: noodle dishes, Chinese cuisine, and a Japanese-style cafeteria. The noodle and Chinese restaurants each have dining tables inside (you can also eat at tables in the large hall). The Japanese-style cafeteria operates in a format where you select rice and side dishes. After paying, you use the tables inside the large hall.

On the 2nd floor, there are Ganbanyoku facilities, and to the right of the Ganbanyoku entrance, there is a Body Care Room (for a fee).

Heading in the opposite direction of the Ganbanyoku on the 2nd floor, there is a Relax Room.

1F facility

The 1st floor contains the baths and locker rooms. Near the entrance to the baths, there is a Tea House where you can order beer or soft drinks after coming out of the bath.

4F facility

The 4th floor of Yuami no Shima is reserved for group customers. One floor above the large hall on the 3rd floor, there is a hall for groups, encircling the grand hall.

How to leave Yuami no Shima

To leave Yuami no Shima, please settle your bill at the 3rd-floor front desk. Once the payment is complete, you will receive an exit ticket. At the gate located at the exit of Yuami no Shima, you can leave by scanning the barcode of the exit ticket.

Additionally, there is a shuttle bus service from Yuami no Shima to the parking lot. The shuttle bus stop is located right outside the exit of Yuami no Shima. You can walk to the parking lot if you prefer, but please use the shuttle bus service if needed.

Using a family bath with an open-air bath on Yuami no Shima
