How to enter Higashiyama Zoo Amusement Park
The amusement park of Higashiyama Zoo is located on a hill adjacent to the zoo's North Garden. There are three sets of stairs and one slope provided for access to the amusement park from the North Garden area. The stairs are steep and quite high. There is no elevator, so if you have a stroller or similar, please use the slope.
The first set of stairs is located to the right of the Mysterious Exploration Hall, just after crossing from the main zoo to the North Garden.
The second set of stairs is located to the right of the Slope Shooter.
To the right of the second set of stairs, there is a slope leading to the amusement park. If you have a stroller or similar, please use this slope.
The third set of stairs is located on the right, just after entering the zoo from the North Garden Gate.
Attraction types, prices, and available age
The operating hours for the amusement park at Higashiyama Zoo are from 10:00 to 16:50. As of May 2024, there are 17 attractions within the amusement park.
Each attraction has age restrictions set for its use. Also, even if within the permissible age, children of certain ages must be accompanied by a guardian. For example, the Ferris wheel can be used from 0 years old, but those under elementary school age cannot use it unless accompanied by a guardian. Furthermore, the age at which ride tickets are needed to use the attractions and the number of tickets required are predetermined. For more details, please see the following list.

Several ticket purchase locations are available within the amusement park. You can buy the number of tickets needed by pressing the button for the attraction you want to ride, and there are also slightly discounted ticket sheets available, such as those with 11 or 19 tickets.
Additionally, various special tickets are sold, such as the "Weekday Value Ticket," available only on weekdays, which allows you to ride any attraction 3 times for 600 yen, and the "1DAY Passport," available only on holidays, which provides unlimited rides on the attractions.

Mysterious Tanken Museum
"Mysterious Tanken Museum" is an attraction located under the stairs leading to the amusement park. You walk through the building and explore its interior. What awaits inside will be a surprise until you enter.
Slope Shooter
The "Slope Shooter" is a popular attraction in the amusement park. Up to four people can ride in a vehicle that is lifted to the top like a roller coaster and then races down the course thanks to gravity.
Merry-Go-Round
The Merry-Go-Round is one of the classic attractions in the amusement park.
Tea cup
It is an attraction where you enjoy riding in tea cup-shaped vehicles that spin around.
Flying Eagle
This attraction soars into the sky as you pedal.
Roller Coaster
It is a full-fledged roller coaster.
Monorail Train
You ride a train through the forest, where various animals are hidden.
Flower Storm
This is a type of attraction where you flutter through the air.
Bear Coaster
It is a roller coaster type of attraction, which children from the age of 2 can ride.
Koala Train

This attraction has you navigate through a maze filled with mirrors, aiming for the goal.

It's an attraction where you ride a swing, rotating around as if you're flying through the sky.
Red Baron
This attraction allows you to fly through the sky in colorful airplanes.
Other facilities
There are rides throughout the amusement park where small children can insert coins and play.
